Updated 2/3: Due to concerns about snow on the roads tomorrow and the delayed start schedules for schools and workplaces, the haflah is canceled. Ticketholders will receive refunds via PayPal. Thanks to everyone who was planning to come, but I'd rather know you're safe and warm at home!
Shakin' it old-school: You are invited to Rakasa Revue's first-ever haflah on Friday, February 4 from 8 to 10 pm at the Gemini Playhouse! This event is Kahramana's way of saying thank you to the Central Texas bellydance community for supporting and particpating in Rakasa Revue over the past year.
Join us for a fun, informal evening of food, dancing and relaxing with friends. Bahaia will kick off the evening with a special khaleegy mini-class from 8 to 8:30, followed by some Gulf music so we can show off our new steps, and then on to the belly dance tunes!
Bring your favorite music, zills, drums, family and friends (kids welcome!), a covered dish to share, if you wish--and yourself, ready to dance! The Gemini Playhouse will have beverages available for purchase or donation.
There will be a swap table for dancers who have items to trade. Clean out your dance closet! Kimora will be vending Scentsy items, Roberta will have her belly dance body stockings and Ronnie will have her Mary Kay items for sale, too.
Adult admission: $5 advance/ $10 cash at the door
Kids 6 and up: $5 advance or $5 cash at the door
Kids 5 and younger: free
